GEM Recognized Former Director Richard O'Hare
April 25, 2011

GEM continued its practice of recognizing former Board members for their leadership in the Governance of GEM at the April 2011 Board meeting held in Washington, DC.   Richard O'Hare was honored through a donation from GEM to the Wounded Warriors Project an effort near and dear to Rich.  GEM President and CEO, John Foehl, surprised Mr. O'Hare by inviting a retired commander in the 82nd Airborne, Golden Brigade, Col. James Littig, U.S. Army, who is also involved with the Wounded Warriors Project,  to accept the donation.  Rich currently serves as the Treasurer for the Wounded Warriors Project.

Rich was a director of the GEM Board from 2003-2009 and the GEM designated member representative of one of its founding members the Virginia Transit Liability Pool (VTLP) from 2003-2011.  Although Rich continues to run VTLP he has appointed David Harmer as both the Administrator of VTLP and the GEM Designated Member Representative.
